"I came in after receiving a letter from KWSP that I did not understand. The advisory session gave me a clear picture in about an hour. The written summary they sent three days later was something I could actually read with my daughter without needing to call back with questions. I felt I left knowing exactly where I stood."

"The appeal drafting service was what I needed. I wanted to submit the appeal in my own name but I was not confident in how to frame it. The draft they produced was well-organised and used my own words where it mattered. One round of revisions was included which I used. The whole thing was done inside three weeks."

"My father was finding it difficult to keep up with the correspondence on his civil service pension matter. We handed everything to Bekal Wangsa under the complete handling arrangement. They gave us a written update after each step and my father was copied in on everything. It took about eight months but the matter was resolved."

"I had an advisory session by video because I was not able to travel easily. It worked well. The office was straightforward about what they thought my options were, including the option of doing nothing at this stage. The summary confirmed that in writing. I appreciated not being pushed to take on a larger engagement than was necessary."

"The fee agreement was exactly as quoted on the website. No additional charges appeared afterwards. I had a question midway through about how the process was going and the office responded the next working day. For someone who had not dealt with this kind of matter before, knowing the cost upfront and having a point of contact made a noticeable difference."

"The appeal drafting included a plain-language note explaining which parts of our evidence were likely to carry weight and which were thin. That was useful because it helped me decide how to present the matter at the hearing itself. The draft was thorough and covered points I had not thought to include on my own."

How Matters Have Progressed
Details are generalised to protect client confidentiality. Outcomes depend on the specific facts of each matter.
Case Study · EPF Under-contribution Dispute
Challenge
A retired factory worker in Seremban discovered that EPF contributions had not been correctly remitted by his former employer for approximately three years. He had received an administrative decision partly upholding and partly rejecting his complaint, and did not understand which part he could challenge further.
Approach
The office took on complete handling of the matter. Employment records and contribution histories were gathered. A submission was prepared addressing the disputed portion of the administrative decision and filed with the relevant body. The client received written updates at four stages over the course of nine months.
Outcome
The appeal was upheld on the main disputed contribution period. The client received a corrected calculation from the EPF administrator within six weeks of the decision. Total matter duration: nine months. The client noted that the written updates made the wait manageable.
Case Study · Civil Service Pension Adjustment
Challenge
A retired civil servant received a pension adjustment letter reducing her monthly payment. She was not clear on the basis for the reduction and her family had not been able to extract a plain explanation from the relevant department. An advisory session was sought first.
Approach
An advisory session was held with the client and her daughter present. The session identified that the adjustment appeared to have been applied on an incorrect basis. A written summary was provided, which the family used to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with an appeal. They chose to commission appeal drafting.
Outcome
The written appeal was submitted by the client in her own name using the draft prepared by the office. The department reversed the adjustment approximately five months after submission. The client used the advisory session and appeal drafting services, with a combined cost of RM 545.
