6.
Payment Terms
- All fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM)
- The fixed fee for each service is set out in the Fee Agreement signed before work begins
- Payment is due upon signing the Fee Agreement, unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing
- Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and cash at the office
- No additional charges will be levied within the agreed scope without a separate written amendment to the Fee Agreement
- If work is halted at the client's request after it has commenced, a proportional fee reflecting work completed to that point may be retained
7.
Service-Specific Terms
Complete Matter Handling: No submission, filing, or communication is made on your behalf without your prior written approval. You will be informed in writing after each significant development. The stated 6–12 month duration is a typical range and may vary depending on the response times of pension administrators and the complexity of the matter.
Appeal Drafting: One revision round is included within the fixed fee. The draft is based on the information and documents you supply. Additional revision rounds, if requested, may attract a supplementary charge agreed in writing.
Advisory Session: The written summary is sent within three working days of the session. The summary is advisory in nature and reflects the information available at the time of the session.
8.
Disclaimers
Legal advice and assistance in pension matters is inherently dependent on the specific facts, the documents available, and the decisions of third parties including pension administrators, employers, and hearing bodies. Accordingly:
- We do not warrant or represent that any particular outcome will be achieved in your matter
- Written summaries, advice, and submissions represent our assessment based on the information available to us at the time — they may require updating if new information comes to light
- The information on this website is general in nature and does not constitute legal advice for any specific situation
9.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Bekal Wangsa's liability to a client in connection with any service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of pension entitlement where that loss arises from a decision of a pension body or court, or from information provided to us that was inaccurate or incomplete.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other matter that cannot be limited by agreement under applicable Malaysian law.
10.
Confidentiality and Indemnification
We hold client information in confidence and will not disclose it except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required to progress your matter. In return, clients agree to hold information shared by the office (such as advice, strategy, or draft documents) in confidence and not to disclose it to parties adverse to their interest without the office's knowledge.
You agree to indemnify Bekal Wangsa against any claim arising from inaccurate or incomplete information you have provided in connection with your matter.
11.
Termination
Either party may terminate a service engagement by written notice. Where a client terminates after work has commenced, a proportional fee reflecting work completed to that point is due. Where the office terminates, work completed to the point of termination will be delivered to the client and a proportional fee calculated accordingly.
Termination does not affect confidentiality obligations, which continue after the matter closes.
12.

14.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
